Why have New Forest Pride?

This year we are going to hold New Forest Pride for the very first time! We felt it was appropriate to host a pride event because the forest is so secluded and there is lack of unity and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. We wish to create and sustain a positive image for the New Forest for the LGBTQ+ community, as we believe that the diversity within the Forest isn't truly represented!

What are our aims as a charity?

At New Forest Pride we believe we are unique from other pride events in the south, due to the factor we are tucked away in a small and under represented area which makes us more personal and connected with our event(s) and less commercialised.

Meet the Committee!

Hannah Phillips - She/They
Chief Operating Officer & Trustee
Hannah founded PRIDE back in 2019! She is responsible for overall oversight of the PRIDE operation and the charity. All strategic decisions are ultimately decided upon by Hannah.

Acts & Performers Officer​ & Trustee
Emer is our performing arts guru! Joining the committee in early 2022, Emer has been at the centre of all things stage management! Emer has oversight of all stage performers and arts operatives and volunteers.

Shaun Hickman - He/Him
Vice-Operating Officer & Trustee
Shaun joined us in 2021 and is now in the role of Vice-Operating Officer for New Forest Pride. Shaun is jointly responsible for overall oversight of the charity (during Hannah's absence) including compliance and health and safety. Shaun also leads our team of over 200+ operation volunteers!
